At Mohop, I was part of the design and production teams. After mastering production of sandal styles, I was tasked with creating new designs for a winter line. It was an exciting challenge to work with the same wedge heel bases and materials as the original sandal styles, but add more foot coverage. I developed these styles from concepts to technical patterns, to wear testing and production ready stage. I gained experience with CNC machining, woodworking, laser cutting, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, pattern making and size grading. It was very rewarding to use my skills to help Mohop’s new vision come to life, and I learned a lot. Photography by Annie Mohaupt.
